Iran film ‘The Descendants’ to be screened at Rivne filmfest in Ukraine

Iranian movie ‘The Descendants’ is scheduled to vie at Rivne International Film Festival “Dream City” in Ukraine.

Directed by Yaser Talebi,‘The Descendants’ is about the quiet life of Jacob and his wife. However, their life soon becomes entangled with worries about their son, Farrokh, after he leaves Iran and continues his studies abroad. Farrokh has lost contact with his parents, and now the father embarks on an Odyssey-like journey to find him.

Some of the film's accolades include taking home the awards for Best Film from Pembroke Taparelli Arts and Film Festival as well as Best Actor from Franklin County International Film Festival with both events held in the US.

Rivne International Film Festival “Dream City” consists of the national and international competitive programs in nominations: full-length fiction films, short-length fiction films, full-length and short-length documentary films, music video and students’ films.

The event is to be held from 26 to 30 September, 2017.
